Wed. Oct. 26, 2011:  Depart NY (Delta Airlines) nonstop to Israel.

Thur. Oct.  27:            Arrive Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport.

Fri.   Oct.  28:          Tiberias. Private boat ride on Sea of Galilee to view 2000 yr. old boat. Visit Peter's Home in Capernaum. Visit Church at Tabga  (Miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves).

Sat. Oct. 29:             Mount of Beatitudes - site of Sermon on the Mount. Upper Galilee - River Jordan.  Continue to Caesarea Philippi. On to Tel Dan to see excavation dating to King Solomon's days and Solomon's Gate.

Sun. Oct. 30:          Tiberias. Mt. Tabor to visit Church of the Transfiguration. View Yizael Valley. Visit Megiddo where archaeologists uncovered 20 civilization built one upon another. Nazareth-Church of Annunciation and St. Joseph's Grotto.
Visit Nazareth Village. Stop in Cana - site of Miracle of water into wine.

Mon. Oct. 31:           Jerusalem: Cross Galilee to Mediterannean. Visit ancient Acre - maritime capital of Crusaders. Visit Mt. Carmel. Visit ruins of Caesarea built by Herod the Great. Drive through Judean Hills to Jerusalem. Hotel Notre Dame Guesthouse (www.notradamecenter.org).

Tues. Nov. 01:          Jerusalem: Visit Bethlehem Church of the Nativity. Drive to Mt. of Olives for panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit Church of Ascension. Visit Gardens of Gethsemane. Enter Christian Quarter of Old City through St. Stephen's Gate and see the Pool of Bethsada and the Lithostrothos at the Ecce Homo arch.  Walk the Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) to the Holy Sepulchre Church.

Wed. Nov. 02:           Jerusalem: Caiphas House and dungeon where Jesus was held before His trial. Mt. Zion and Last Supper Room. Walk through Jewish Quarter. Visit Western Wall, the only remains of the Second Temple - the holiest site in Judaism.

Thur. Nov. 03:           Jerusalem: Drive to Dead Sea. Visit Jericho and take cable car to Mt. of Temptations. Continue to Masada overlooking Dead Sea. See amazing water cisterns . Visit Qumran, home of the ancient Essenes and site where the Dead Sea Scolls were found in 1947.

Fri.   Nov. 04:            Jerusalem:  Visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. Continue to Shrine of the Book to glimpse the Dead Sea Scrolls. See wonderful model of Jerusalem. Visit church of St. John Baptist.

Sat. Nov. 05:               Depart 12:40 and arrive 6:30 a.m.

Sun. Nov. 06:       Petra:  Tour city of Petra. Travel on horseback to the canyon and then on foot to Petra - capital of the Nabateans from 3rd. cent. B.C.E.  See El Khazneh (Treasury) and beyond the Treasury an entire city carved into the canyon walls.

Mon. Nov. 07:      Amman - Cairo:  Drive to Wadi Rum. See where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. Bedouin lunch. Fly to Cairo. Grand Pyramids Hotel www.grandpyramidshotel.com

Tues. Nov. 08:     Cairo:  Egyptologist/tourguide will take you to Giza to see the Pyramids and Sphinx. Continue to Memphis, capital of the Pharoahs in the Old Kingdom. Continue to Sakara to see the Step Pyramid and Pyramid of Dahshour (approx. 46,00 years ago.)

Wed. Nov. 09:    Cairo-Home:  Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, Tomb of Tutankhamen, then to the  Old Coptic Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue and Mohamad Ali Mosque. Farewell dinner.  Fly to US.

Thurs. Nov. 10:  Arrive New York at 5:05 a.m.
